YO! Home

“Homes are our refuge, our rock. Since the invention of the city centre apartment, we’ve never really re-invented it. YO! Home is that new invention. Moving parts draw on a wealth of engineering technology, taken from fields as diverse as yacht and automotive design, to stage production. This allows a 40 square metre space (the size of a one bedroom apartment) to transform into what feels like a much bigger home.

YOTEL

“I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to the first class sleeper bed with British Airways. I went to sleep with the conundrum of how to make a Japanese capsule hotel acceptable in the West, and woke up realising the solution was around me… All I needed to do was find the designer of the BA first class cabin and ask them to help me design a hotel.”

YO! Sushi

“I opened YO! Sushi in Poland Street, Soho on January 22nd 1997 with my life savings of £200,000. Within a week we had a queue down the block and we never looked back. But Robin Rowland, who had been my partner from early on, really did the hardest thing. He took a small group of restaurants and built them into the organisation of quality sites we have today – which allowed me to go on and explore new projects.”
